Guys are... guys -_-

Observe the below conversation --

Scenario: Our trainer was taking us to some restaurant for lunch, he met with another guy at the lift lobby.

Trainer: J, Trainer's friend: G.

J: Hey G! How are you?
G: J! You're back, how's Philipines?
J: Well, I started missing my son and wife the moment I stepped on Singapore's soil..
G: Ah, how sweet, do you plan to bring them over?
J: Ah yes! I will be applying for them to come over to Singapore once my PR gets approved. By the way, G, these guys are my trainees (points to us), and guys, this is my good friend G, he's from Greece.
G: Oh hi!~ (After some formal introductions... they went back to their conversation, and we're now in the lift)
...
G: So J, how do you find Singapore thus far?
J: Beautiful! Courteous people, very clean streets, punctual public transports... and ya... beautiful ladies! Especially on the MRT~
G: Oh boy, you'd better don't let your wife knows about this~
J: Nah, I won't be able to look at any of the beautiful ladies when she's around, my eyes will always focus on her..
G: That's cruel! You know~ I have been married for 17 years, I have now the permissions to look at beautiful ladies~
J: Thats cool, I've only got married two years ago.
G: You got to wait for another 13 years then..
J: So, I'll be able to look at beautiful ladies after 15 years of marriage?
G: Well, its just that 15 years later you don't bother how your wife reacts already!
J: Ah hahaha.. Oh God, I committed a sin, forgive me God.
G: Ok then, see ya! Have a nice day my friends!

Objective Set!~

The fifth program that I plan to do during the year has been confirmed... it will be a Blog Engine running under the .Net Framework 2.0!~~~~~

Not sure if its going to work, but I'm tired of needing to search the web for Blog Engines under .net 2.0 and can't find anything free -.-

Hasn't been in the nicest mode to blog... the Blogger has drive me nuts recently... the editor for new post is not behaving like it should be... weird formatting + weird panel... .something is obviously wrong, and I can't actually edit my posts! -_-

Ok... been to the Microsoft Certified course on Core Data Access today, it was easy -- because today's supposed to be an introductory to the new ADO.NET framework, nothing much was different if compared to the one on framework 1.1...

However, my advice to you all out there is that DO NOT attempt to take any Microsoft Certified course on Visual Studio 2005 if you do not have any prior experience in programming in .net...

There were 5 guys on my class, 2 of them from NTU (they are students, but I do not know where the hell did they have the money to attend such courses), where they do not have programming experience in .net, and they quarrelled with the trainer (who obviously stated that "the course assumes that you have experience in data access, it treats as an upgrade to the new framework, we will not be teaching you beginner's stuff") because "we want to see those drag and drop stuff, i don't want to see these coding stuffs".

To me, the kids obviously came to the wrong place, why on earth does Microsoft certifies them for dragging and dropping data components onto a webpage without writing a single line of code?

That is something I will never understand, why kids nowadays do not know how to appreciate learning opportunities? I've had enormous fun today, as I am not in a pressurized state of mind to learn new things for the sake of new projects, I got to learn things at my own pace and explore the potential usage of new features -- with the help of a qualified trainer that always tell me the standard way of coding -- THAT IS FUNDAMENTAL isn't it?

I mean, we should KNOW how to code before we begin doing those "drag-and-drop" stuffs, isn't it?

http://blog.yam.com/elish/article/4037965
